This real photo postcard depicts Hartford Bridge, a local landmark that spans the Connecticut River connecting Hartford with East Hartford. The bridge was not completed until 1908, indicating that the postcard was produced after this time. The cyan tone of the image is a product of the cyanotype process, which used ferric ferrocyanide (Prussian blue) to form an image.
