Notes on this view:

This is an example of a neutral, steel-gray platinum print, ca. 1900. The print is a high-end studio portrait presented in an elaborate folder with tissue interleaving. The platinum print process was commonly used at the time for expensive portraiture because of the process's beautiful tonality, neutral black image color, and matte surface. The process was also considered more "artistic" and "refined" than the silver processes of the day.
