Notes on this view:

This real photo postcard from the early 20th century is a studio portrait. Real photo postcards are prints made on photographic papers with a postcard back. Photographic postcard papers were available in a variety of processes, including collodion and gelatin POP as well as silver gelatin DOP and cyanotype. The papers could be purchased from any photographic supply company and were popular during the early part of the 20th century. Photographic postcards were made and sold by studio, commercial, and itinerant photographers and were also made by amateur photographers for personal use.
