Notes on this view:

Notice the wooden fence in the foreground and the clouds in the background. This image was made in a photographic studio that used props and a painted backdrop to make it appear as if the image was taken outdoors. The sitter even carries parasol promoting the illusion that this image was taken outside. Collodion binders were only sensitive to the blue spectrum of light making it impossible to achieve the correct exposure for the landscape and the sky (clouds). The clouds in this image are therefore fake and likely painted onto a studio backdrop.
