Notes on this view:

This turn-of-the-century collodion POP from Denmark depicts two sitters, possibly father and son, loosely cropped by a vignette. The print is mounted to a standard-sized carte de visite mount. Cartes de visite were a popular format from the 1860s to about 1900, although the format began to steadily give way to the cabinet card format by the 1880s. Mounts, especially during the late nineteenth century and early twentieth century, came in a variety of styles and colors. The gray mount was particularly popular in the 1890s for matte collodion prints. Notice the name of the photographer, L. Rasmussen, and the name of the city, Logstor, are printed at the bottom of the mount.
